FORT WAYNE, IND. — United Art and Education, Inc. will soon relocate to a new, expanded location in The Market at Mill Run Shopping Center in Hilliard, Ohio. The new store, opening April 17th, will be approximately 25% larger than its current location in Dublin. The move will allow the company to carry its complete line of fine art materials, as well as the area’s largest selection of educational and creative resources for teachers, parents and students. Less than 10 miles south of the current Dublin location, the Hilliard United Art and Education store will be located at 3622 Fishinger Blvd.

Since it opened it store in Dublin in 2001, United Art and Education has experienced steady growth at that location. The main reason behind the move, according to company president Mike Gugel, was the opportunity to offer Columbus-area customers the full spectrum of art supplies already available at its six other locations in Indiana and Ohio. “The larger space also provides room for continued expansion of our educational materials lines,” said Gugel. “We saw the Mill Run area as being a vibrant, expanding area.”

Mark Van Buskirk, store manager, is also excited about the opportunity. “The past five years in Columbus have been wonderful,” he said. “Teachers, parents, and artists from all over Ohio frequent our store and regularly compliment us on our selection and space for convenient shopping. Our new Mill Run store will bring our Columbus customers over 18,000 square feet of shopping and the full United Art and Education experience.”

With the move, artists will be able to find more professional supplies such as paints and brushes, easels, ceramic tools and glazes, matting and framing supplies, fine art papers and much more. The store will continue to sell all the art products and educational resources available at the Dublin location. To facilitate the move, United Art and Education will be open through April 8th in Dublin. Then it will reopen in Hilliard on April 17th.

The new Hilliard location is the latest development in United Art and Education’s overall growth. The company opened a new store in Sharonville, Ohio in February and is nearing completion of an expansion project at its corporate headquarters and distribution center in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
